NCRMA Launches Radio Campaign
Consumers are urged to Shop Smart and ShopNC
The North Carolina Retail Merchants Association (NCRMA), in partnership with Curtis Media, launched a statewide radio campaign on Tuesday, April 28th. The campaign includes two key public service advertisements (PSA) including one message educating consumers about the safeguards they should adopt when visiting a retail store and another message encouraging consumers to shop North Carolina brick and mortar retailers. The public service advertisements (PSA) will air 16 times per week over the next 13 weeks on more than 75 stations and will reach all 100 counties in North Carolina.
“The main concern for all retailers continues to be the health and safety of their employees and their customers. Since the beginning of this pandemic, retailers have made wide-ranging changes in their operations with that concern in mind. Meanwhile, during this time there has been unprecedented demand and it has become necessary for NCRMA to step in to help our retailers by educating customers about on how to shop smart and keep everyone safe,” said Andy Ellen, president and general counsel, NCRMA.
“In addition, many of our retailers have been hit hard by extended store closures. We hope as these retailers are allowed to reopen, North Carolina consumers will be ready to support them as they have supported their communities,” Ellen said. “North Carolina retailers truly are the backbone of economies in towns across the state and their ability to rebound will help everyone.”
